Clinical Intern (Clinical Assistant) at Bronson Family Medicine- The Groves

What are your career goals?

To enhance my training and take courses to level up positions in the healthcare field. Get as many clinical hours for the PA master’s program at WMU.

How confident are you that your Higher Promise Internship will help you reach these goals?

Without Higher Promise, I may not have had the opportunity to work with Bronson. If I had applied on my own, I doubt I would have been hired.

What has been your favorite part of the internship?

Being kind and not intimidating. At the practice, every one is kind and they appreciate you helping them prep the patient for them to see. The MA’s are also appreciative as well too. I feel like I make their work a bit easier because they have a lot on their plates.

Would you recommend Higher Promise to other Promise Scholars? If so, why?

Yes, because it’s a great opportunity to create connections and meet people that can help you advance in your career. Not only that, but it helps you become more professionally prepared for your desired job role.
