Technology Specialist

Joyeuse Alphonse is the Technology Specialist at The Kalamazoo Promise. With a passion for leveraging technology in service of equitable education, she brings a unique blend of technical expertise and community-centered experience to her role, where she manages IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365 administration, and data privacy compliance while building internal staff capacity and developing custom technical solutions to best support Promise staff and scholars.

Before joining the Promise, Joyeuse served as a data analyst in the medical education field and co-founded a local small business, where she served as Chief Technology Officer. Her background also includes meaningful work as a refugee employment specialist, where she dedicated herself to helping refugees and immigrants build new lives in the Kalamazoo community — an experience that deepened her commitment to serving others and her belief in the power of opportunity and education to transform lives.

Joyeuse holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from Western Michigan University.
