• The Steps for Success tool will help your team have an initial conversation about who to contact with a scheduling conflict, dress code, team preferences and goal setting. (This is not required, but some business partners have found it useful.)

    • Please review the skills in the enclosed with your intern at the beginning of the program and share why these skills are important. This is an opportunity to share about your company and to teach. You are encouraged to use this tool as often as bi-weekly, so these skills are a focus of Higher Promise and reinforced from the Workplace Navigation Class. One common message from business partners, locally and nationally, is they are seeking “work ready” employees, this is an opportunity to support this skill development. (Note: The Promise will ask you to fill in this form (a digital survey will be emailed) midway through the summer (July 11th) and at the end of the program. The Promise will use the information gathered to inform future Workplace Navigation classes.
