The Kalamazoo Promise is excited to collaborate with community partners and share our education focused meeting and event space.
LOCATION
We are located at 180 East Water Street at North Edwards Street in downtown Kalamazoo across from the
Arcadia Creek Festival Place.
About Using Our Spaces
Meeting rooms and event space in The Kalamazoo Promise section of the building are available 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, after hours by special approval.
To allow more organizations to use our meeting rooms, we don't book weekly or monthly meetings (limit of six (6) times per year, per partner organization).
Our meeting rooms are for staff/board/committee meetings, classes, and training sessions.

Room Highlights
1201- Welcome Room (Seats 6)
The Welcome Room is located on the first floor and seats six around a round table. There is a television with ClickShare for presenting. The television also has Netflix, YouTube TV and Hulu available to watch.
1207- Library (Seats 6)
The Library is located on the first floor and seats 4 chairs around a round table, along with 2 soft seats for additional seating. There is a whiteboard for presenting and sharing ideas.
1208- Den (Seats 6)
The Den is located on the first floor and has soft seating for a group of six. There is a whiteboard for presenting and sharing ideas.
1209- Diversity Innovation Room (Seats 50)
The Diversity Innovation Room is located on the first floor and seats 48 around desk tables. The configuration of these tables can be adjusted by special request. There are two projectors with ClickShare for presenting. We also have a microphone and lapel mic if needed.
1210- Living Room (Seats 6)
The Living Room is located on the first floor and has soft seating for 6 with small side tables. There is a whiteboard for presenting and sharing ideas.
1211- Family Room
The Family Room is meant to provide a quiet space for small children to play and be cared for. It has seating for 2 with one being a rocking chair There is a small refrigerator and sink, along with a countertop that can be used as a changing station.
1216- Janice M Brown Ed.D. Conference Room (Seats 10)
The Janice M Brown Ed.D. Conference Room seats 10 around a board table with soft seating for 3 on the side in the corner. There is a credenza for snacks and beverage placement. There is a whiteboard for presenting and sharing ideas and also a loaded with ClickShare for presenting.
Promise Event Space (Seats 28)
The Promise Event Space is located on the first floor. It is a large open space with designated seating for 16 along with soft seating for 12. There is a buffet counter and sink for serving food. There is a television with ClickShare for presenting. The television also has Netflix, YouTube TV and Hulu available to watch.
